The audio of SS Rajamouli-directed film Maryada Ramanna, starring Sunil and Saloni, in the lead roles, was released on a specially erected set at Shilpa Kala Vedika, Hyderabad.
Made on Arka Media Works banner, the film is produced by Prasad Devineni and Sobhu Yarlagadda, while MM Keeravani scored music.
Ace director Dasari Narayana Rao unveiled the audio CD and presented the first number to K. Raghavendra Rao. NTR, Prabhas and Ravi Teja remained a special attraction to the event. Interestingly, the function coincided with the birthday celebration of Keeravani.
Speaking on this occasion, Dasari Narayana Rao said: “The real director is the one for whom all the stars should wait to get any opportunity. Rajamouli is one such director. He directed a number of blockbusters. What business does he have with actor Sunil? But, I appreciate it. A director should also work with small artistes, comedians and others and then only the real worth would come out of him. I wish that this film Maryada Ramanna should remain the best in the career of Rajamouli.”
SP Balasubramanyam said: “As a playback singer my debut movie was Maryada Ramanna (yesteryears). Now, I am happy to sing songs for a film with the same title. Keeravani is the most favourite music director of mine. He is a mine of pristine beauty in unfolding the grace of Telugu in lyrics and music.”
Rajamouli said: “When I met lyricist Seetharama Sastry, I felt jitters as I thought that he would reject the mass films. When he said that he too would like the mass movies, I felt happy.”
D. Suresh Babu, VV Vinayak, Prakash Raj, Dil Raju, Ramesh Prasad, Krish, Seetharama Sastry, Bogavalli Prasad, ML Kumar Chowdary, Prakash Kovelamudi, Chandrasekhar Yeleti, Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao, Nagineedu and others took part in the event. Vel Records (owned by Keeravani’s family members) is marketing the audio.
