Sonam has a near wardrobe malfunction

Sonam Kapoor's lose pants gave her a nightmare at a promotional event of her upcoming film Aisha and she had to keep pulling them up. At a promotional event of her film Aisha at a radio station, Sonam Kapoor was dancing and interacting with her fans and the usual crowd of admirers and technicians when her pants started slipping.

She kept pulling them up again and again, but finally had to pin her trousers. While pulling her pants, the actress however is seen grinning in this photograph (Right).

SonamBut given her impeccable style sense, we are surprised as to why she didn't try on her pants before a public appearance. That could have saved her the embarrassment.

Shahrukh extends hand of friendship to Thackeray

Friendship day is still to come, but looks like the friendship feeling has already struck the heart of the Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan. This was proved when people saw today's newspaper Saamna (Shiv Sena mouth piece), and found a half page advertisement by Shahrukh Khan wishing Uddav Thackeray on his 50th birth anniversary. The advertisement read "With Best Compliments From...Red Chillies Entertainment."

The tiff between Shiv Sena and the Bollywood super star Shahrukh Khan has made quiet a few headlines in the past. The recent one being Shiv Sena's protest against the release of Shahrukh's film My Name Is Khan. The party was upset with Khan, for speaking in favour of the Pakistani cricketers in the Indian Premier League.

This time the news is not about the fight but about the friendship offered by the Bollywood Superstar. Hope that the peaceful hand shake from Shahrukh Khan with the Shiv Sena man will surely be accepted by the Marathi Manus.

Female don threatens Ajay Devgn

When director Milan Luthria decided to film his don drama, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, in real locations in the city, he did not anticipate a female don landing up at a seedy bar on Raey Road, on the last day of the schedule. Reportedly, she had come to meet Ajay Devgn and strolled to his van that was parked some distance away. An attendant then informed her that the star had already packed up and left. Upset, she abused, and even slapped the guy.

Luthria admitted that the story was true and says that she even threatened to burn down Ajay’s van unless they paid up. “Since Ajay’s van is worth a lot more than what she wanted, we eventually had to give in to her demand,” he says, refusing to disclose how much money exchanged hands. “The production team had sorted the issue out by the time I reached the place.”

Luthria met the godmother later and was surprised that someone so thin and wiry could wield so much power and evoke such fear. The experience didn’t deter Luthria from returning to shoot there again, when high tide prevented an action sequence from being filmed on a barge.

There was trouble in Dongri, too, when he was shooting with Emraan Hashmi. Hashmi’s character, Shoib, is modeled on Dawood Ibrahim who had grown up there and the locals were curious to meet him. Luthria recalls that two rival gangs were getting a little too close, so the security guards were asked to push them back.

“I’m told that an argument flared up between them and our production guys, who were caught in between, were bashed up and a couple of cars were damaged,” says Luthria, who admits that it was an effort to not say anything provocative in the circumstances. “These are secluded areas with the sea bordering one side and a narrow gully the only way out. I knew that if things heated up, we could be hemmed in.”

Luthria is all praise for his actors who didn’t complain that their vans had to be parked some distance away, that there were no restrooms and even a sandwich was a 15 minutes walk away. “But,” says Luthria, “When you see the film, you’ll agree that it had to be shot on real locations.”

Imran Khan, Preity Zinta, Ritesh Deshmukh and so on, everybody is expressing their views on twitter after seeing its first look. The movie is expected to succeed like ‘Wanted’ although this time Salman Khan plays the role of a corrupt cop.

Dressed up as cop with a moustache on his face, Salman Khan looks perfectly like the cops of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. ‘Dabangg’ showcases Salman as a police officer, but as a corrupt one. The other celebrities have however encouraged and appreciated his different role and get up.

Imran Khan tweets, “Just saw the Dabangg trailer! It looks like SUCH a fun movie. @BeingSalmanKhan is in top form, kicking ass, cracking jokes and dancing.”

Sonakshi SInha, the daughter of Shatrughan Sinha and the lead lady of ‘Dabangg’ is really excited about her debut movie. She also tweets, “Spoke to 1 of my fav actresses - the awesome Rani Mukherji last nite. Said she loved the Dabangg trailer and me in it! on top of the world!'

Tere Bin Laden rakes in Rs 50 million in opening

Debutant director Abhishek Sharma's satire Tere Bin Laden has grossed over Rs 50 million in its opening weekend.

Released Friday, Tere Bin Laden grossed Rs 50 million all over India in the first three days from 344 screens and and gave tough competition to Sanjay Dutt-Bipasha Basu starrer Lamhaa and Vikramaditya Motwane's internationally acclaimed Udaan that released the same day.

Encouraged by the strong response, Boney Kapoor's BSK Network and Entertainment, distributors of the film, are now planning to widen the release by an additional 40-50 prints in the second week.

Internationally too, the film is enjoying a strong run and has already grossed $150,000 from Britain, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Australia while a US release for the same is still in the pipeline.

"After all the hard work, it is truly rewarding to know that audiences are responding positively. We are also very grateful that our colleagues from the industry supported us after watching the film and helped spread the word," Pooja Shetty Deora and Aarti Shetty, producers of the movie, said in a statement.

"Tere Bin Laden" is a humorous take on the 9/11 mastermind. It is the launch vehicle of Pakistani singer-turned-actor Ali Zafar and newcomer Pradhuman Singh, who portrays Osama in the movie.

The multiplexes too are counting on the Osama satire.

"Of the three films released last Friday, Tere Bin Laden is doing better. Though LamhaaTere Bin Laden has performed exceptionally well," Amit Shah, chief manager (programming) of DLF DT cinemas, told IANS.

"The reviews for the movie are good and there is a good word of mouth publicity for the same. It has had an average of 70 percent occupancy over the weekend compared to 60 and 40 percent acquired by Lamhaa and Udaan respectively. The collections are also matching for both Tere Bin Laden and Lamhaa," he added.

Yogesh Raizada, corporate head (cinemas) of Wave Cinemas, said: "Both Lamhaa and Tere Bin Laden did a neck to neck business. Tere Bin Laden is a movie for the masses with full comedy and is being thoroughly enjoyed by both family and friends."

"Both Lamhaa and Tere Bin Laden have had over 70 per cent occupancy each while Udaan is a more serious and youth-centric movie with over 60 per cent occupancy over the weekend," he added.

Lamhaa is based on the turmoil in the Kashmir valley. Produced by GS Entertainment and distributed by PVR Pictures, it also stars Kunal Kapoor and Anupam Kher.

Udaan is about a father-son relationship. It has been co-produced by Anurag Kashyap, Sanjay Singh and UTV Motion Pictures and features 17-year-old Rajat Barmecha along with popular TV stars Ronit Roy and Ram Kapoor.

"All three movies have been good... " is a very well made film and very enjoyable while Udaan is doing good too," said Amit Awasthi, senior manager (programming and operations) of Spice Cinemas.

A source from PVR cinemas said: "Lamhaa has been good but Tere Bin Laden has been exceptionally good. too hasn't stayed behind. All three movies have had an occupancy of around 50, 50 and 30 percent respectively on an average of five, three and three per property but considering the comic factor 'Tere Bin Laden' has a great

I don’t want to copy Tom Cruise: Shahid

I can’t and I don’t want to copy Tom Cruise,” says the actor, who is currently in picturesque Edinburgh, shooting for his father Pankaj Kapoor’s directorial debut, Mausam. “I’ll be back soon. I’m missing the rains, the traffic and the madness of my city,” he says. A picture of the actor wearing an air-force uniform leaked a month ago on the Internet. Several of his fans tweeted that he was copying Tom Cruise’s look from the 1990s film, Top Gun. Bring this up with the actor and he says, “We were shooting at a crowded place here. Everyone had mobile phones with cameras. I don’t know who leaked the photo because we didn’t want to reveal the look before time.”

Why does everyone think he looks like Tom Cruise? “It’s an iconic film and that look is pretty famous,” says Kapoor. “Mausam is the only film in recent times to have the air force as its background. My look hasn’t been modelled on Tom Cruise, though I take the comparison as a compliment.”

Although Edinburgh has a considerable Indian population, he complains that there’s not a single Indian TV channel to keep him connected with what is happening back home. “I went on Twitter to ask for Hindi songs and in 30 minutes, I had 30,” he says.

Shahid in MausamHe’s thrilled to take directions from his dad. “He is so focussed and one of the best actors in Bollywood. I’m lucky he’s guiding me as an actor, director and father,” Kapoor says. He got a three-day break from shooting recently and immediately headed to London to watch Wimbledon matches. “I had the Queen of England for company in the court,” he laughs.

Buzz is that Kapoor has reconciled with his mother, Neelima Azim, and has agreed to act in her debut production. “We’re mother and son, that’s what matters. Whether I act in her film or not is secondary,” he says shortly. “I haven’t signed a single new film. My dates are blocked for Mausam till next year.”

Punit Malhotra wanted to be an actor

Before directing I Hate Luv Storys, Punit Malhotra always wanted to be an actor. The reason why he's taken efforts to build a body that's worth showing off.

In the August issue of Men's Health, Dharma Production's new blue-eyed boy shows off his torso and abs.

During the making of I Hate Luv Storys, Malhotra would take off his shirt each time he was happy with a shot.

And though he has lost muscle before the release of the film, the IHLS director plans to get back to the gym and pack on some serious pounds.

Manish Malhotra's nephew definitely knows how to enjoy himself behind and in front of the camera.

Lamhaa review: The statistics move you more than the film

You're wondering how seriously you should take this film, when bang in the middle of talks of murder plots and violence, Sanjay Dutt says to Bipasha Basu: Ek aur baat, aap behad khoobsoorat hain.

They are no longer the characters they set out to play, but a Hindi film hero and heroine. Sanjay Dutt's intro is full-on drama; he is often photographed in slow-mo with dark sunglasses. What's going on?

Dutt plays an Indian Intelligence Officer posing as a journalist in Kashmir. The idea is to unearth a conspiracy, a violence aiming to transcend the one in '89.

We meet Haji (Anupam Kher), a fanatical political leader who is grooming Aziza (Basu) to follow in his footsteps. She leads a female fidayeen outfit.

What we see over the next two hours is a hollow plot playing itself out self-seriously.

We see the village of half-widows, where the women whose husbands were picked up for random questioning never returned. We see slimy politicians on both sides, we learn that the Indian government is pumping in hundreds of crores into Kashmir year after year.

Everyone wants a piece of the pie; it benefits too many to keep Kashmir burning. But the severely complex Kashmir issue cannot be articulated with a flaky plot and skimming-over-the-surface representations.

All you have is shock value: make-shift hospitals in garages where bombs are planted in children, women yearning for their sons unsure whether they're dead or alive, a young recruit shot dead for trying to run away, the Indian army shooting innocent civilians.

Rahul Dholakia's (Parznia) treatment of the film is inconsistent. For the beginning,he uses the oldest trick in the book - using an AV presentation with photos of the baddies.

Then on we see a history lesson, told too quickly and packing in too much information within a few minutes.

In the middle, it turns into a Bollywood thriller, and at times it turns into a film yearning for the cause of Kashmir.

Honestly, a dry, 'Kashmir is the most dangerous place on Earth, and the most beautiful' isn't exactly putting forth a novel point. Also politicians going on carping, 'elections sar par hai', is so '80s.

Another dialogue says dramatically, 'Jahanum aur jannat ka faasla hai sirf ek goli'.

Too many songs (even though melodious) take away from the credibility of the narrative. The background score (Sanjay Chowdhury) is sorely disappointing. Cinematography is interesting, capturing Kashmir's atmospherics in a subtle manner.

Sanjay Dutt is unconvincing as the Intelligence officer, unable to drop his real persona for the character. His dialogue delivery appears strangely laboured, and the performance lackluster.

Bipasha Basu lights up the screen with her earnest performance. Kunal Kapoor is an interesting casting choice for the subversive leader, and the actor delivers.

Not wanting to take away anything from the commendable making of this picture that you witness as the credits roll (the crew has actually shot in Kashmir), it is difficult to recommend the film when the statistics at the end move you more than the film.

Films, music can bridge Indo-Pak gap: Ali Zafar

Pakistani singer-actor Ali Zafar, who is making his Bollywood debut with Tere Bin Laden, feels films and music can bridge the gap between the two hostile countries, India and Pakistan.

"I think films and music are one of the greatest tools of bringing in peace and harmony between India and Pakistan. As both countries share a common passion -- films and music this can bridge the difference between the two," said Zafar.

Produced by Aarti Shetty and Pooja Shetty Deora, the film is directed by Abhishek Sharma. The music of the film is composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.

Tere Bin Laden is a tongue-in-cheek comedy, set for a worldwide release on July 16.

"Differences between the two countries will surely be resolved one day as people from the film fraternity are doing their best to bring both the countries together on board. As an actor and singer, I would try my best to work in this direction," Zafar said.

The 30-year old actor plays the role of a news reporter from Pakistan, who is desperate to migrate to the US in pursuit of his dream.

"The hero fails to get there because of visa problems so he decides to produce a fake video of Osama Bin Laden to attract attention but lands in trouble," he said.

Zafar, who is known as the 'Prince of Pop' in Pakistan, said, "Pop music, both in India and Pakistan, has been put into some corner. As many companies have shut down after recession what's the point of making music, if no one is going to hear it."

"One needs to be inspired to write music and with the turmoil in the country there wasn't any inspiration around so we do not see much of pop music now," he said.

The actor further said, "In the last four-five years, there has been no breakthrough star from our music industry. There are hardly any album sales. So many news channels have emerged that music has taken a backseat. It's been a fiasco."

Zafar, who idolises Kishore Kumar and Mohammed Rafi, said, "Earlier only a voice was strong enough to carry the song and create that magic...you did not need to use too many instruments. Today this is not the case but I still believe strongly in melody."

However, the film has not been cleared for release by the Pakistani censor board over fears of terrorist attacks as it has Al Qaida leader Osama Bin Laden as a central character.

The Last Airbender

Air, Water, Earth and Fire. Four nations tied by destiny when the Fire Nation launches a brutal war against the others. A century has passed with no hope in sight to change the path of this destruction. Caught between combat and courage, Aang (Noah Ringer) discovers he is the lone Avatar with the power to manipulate all four elements.Aang teams up with Katara (Nicole Peltz) a Waterbender and her brother Sokka (Jackson Rathbone) to restore balance to their war-torn world.

Prince Zuko (Dev Patel) is on the hunt for the Avatar, to prove to his father, Fire Lord Ozai (Cliff Curtis) that he is not the pathetic loser his father takes him to be. But Commander Zhao (Aasif Mandvi), an ambitious sort, also wants to bring the Avatar in to Ozai.Based on the hugely successful Nickelodeon animated TV series, this live-action feature film is the opening chapter in Aang’s struggle to survive.

But the screenplay by Shyamalan is cluttered with so much gobbledygook exposition and confusing action that it's impossible to grasp what's supposed to be going on for more than 15 seconds at a stretch. So the bigger problem is that you don't care about any of these people, whose motivations and personalities are impossible to discern. Also bizarre is the manner in which the warring parties fight. A fire bender, say, will toss a fireball at an earth bender, who will throw up a wall of dirt and block it. Meanwhile the fire bender will stand there and wait while the earth bender hits him with a rock or something.

It's using elements as rock-paper-scissors, but done by way of a sort of advanced form of martial arts. Why wait for your enemy? Why not just hit him in the head with a shovel while he's standing there? And then there’s also the issue of the 3D conversion. Like ‘Clash of the Titans’ before it, ‘The Last Airbender’ was converted to 3D in post-production, leaving it a fuzzy, dark, eye-straining affair. Much of the film doesn’t even register in three dimensions, allowing the viewer to remove their glasses for much-needed breaks. As for the acting, it is dreadful.

Most of the performers are so bland that you forget them while you’re watching them. ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ fame Dev Patel, saddled with a character with conflicting motives, fares slightly better. The film ends with a set-up for a sequel, which those unfortunate enough to endure this torturous mess can only hope never occurs.

‘Krrish 2’ to rescue Hrithik

The Roshans have taken the failure of ‘Kites very seriously and hence are planning to hit back with a sequel of 2006 hit film ‘Krrish’ starring Hrithik Roshan in the lead. The father son duo has given three films together until now, which includes Hrithik’s debut movie ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’, ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ and ‘Krrish’. All of them have turned out to be blockbuster hits at the box office. Rakesh had been planning this sequel for a while, but it didn’t materialize. The debacle of ‘Kites’ however has made him work on it very seriously. Sources say that after making three big hits with his son, Rakesh wanted to take a break from direction and start producing films and Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra was supposed to direct ‘Krrish 2’. Now, the plan stands changed

I hate this term six-pack: Emraan Hashmi

Emraan Hashmi says upcoming film Once Upon A Time In Mumbai, in which he plays an underworld don, is a "turning point" in his career and he has worked hard on his physique for the film.

He also says that working with Ajay Devgn in the film was a good experience.

"Working with Ajay was a treat because he is such a great actor. To be in one frame and act with him is intimidating, but you get to learn lots of things," Emraan said. The film is by Milan Luthria.

Emraan has played characters with negative shades earlier but says Once Upon A Time... would be a turning point for him and maintains that it's unlike other dark underworld films.

"It's a turning point of my career. I have played mostly romantic and intense roles. On-screen criminals and underworld dons are mostly one-dimensional but here we have tried to give them an edge, to bring an emotional context... good songs, so that the film becomes more colourful and not dark," the actor said.

Set primarily in the 1970s Mumbai, the film will trace the changing face of the underworld through the eyes of a police officer. The story follows the rise of Sultan (Ajay), and his eventual fall when his protege Shoaib (Emraan) challenges his supremacy and usurps power to rule the underworld in the city.

The film also features Kangana Ranaut and Prachi Desai.

Asked if there were any particular actor's films he saw to mould his character set in the 1970s, the 31-year-old said: "I think the films I saw were mostly Mr. (Amitabh) Bachchan's and Shashi Kapoor's. I can't name any film in particular."

Emraan has really worked on his body for this film, but says he detests the term "six-pack abs".

"I hate this term six-pack. When Milan narrated the script he made sure that the character demands an overall muscular physique. Because of the action sequences, the toughness in the look was required," he said.

“He’s back”

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan gestures during a news conference in Mumbai July 7, 2010. Bachchan will return to ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ as host of the popular reality TV show in its fourth season. REUTERS/Danish Siddiqui
It’s a tried and tested formula and Sony Entertainment Television is hoping that it will work magic for the channel, as it has in the past for its competitor, Star Plus. The Hindi general entertainment channel from Multi Screen Media Ltd (MSML) announced the launch of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), at a press conference on Wednesday in Mumbai. This is the fourth season of the show on Indian television and will be hosted by actor Amitabh Bachchan.

Though there was speculation early this year that actor Aamir Khan been approached to host the fourth season of the popular game show, the channel heads maintained that they had always been in talks with Bachchan. The show, which is expected to take off sometime later this year, is based on the international game show format, “Who wants to be a millionaire?” Produced by Big Synergy, the Siddharth Basu led production house, the show was hosted in India by Bachchan in 2000. This is the third season of KBC that Bachchan will host. He played host for KBC 1 and 2 on Star Plus which gained a lot of popularity at the time and catapulted the channel to it’s number one position. Season 3 of KBC, also on Star Plus was hosted by actor Shahrukh Khan and was tweaked to suit his style, which was more informal. However, KBC 3 failed to make a cut with audiences and delivered poor television ratings.

Channel officials remained tight-lipped about any changes in the prize money or show format. But maintained that the prize money would definitely be “more than a crore, considering the show was called Kaun Banega Crorepati,” said NP Singh, chief operating officer, SET. KBC 3 which was hosted by Shahrukh Khan had a prize of Rs 2 crore.

The production house, Big Synergy is currently assessing all the changes and innovations in the format globally and is likely to put together a fresher, reworked format to appeal to audiences and overcome any viewer fatigue for the show. “The show perfectly fits with our vision of driving the power of entertainment as a force of good in the society. Kaun Banega Crorepati gives equal opportunities to all – irrespective of all their social and economic standing – to use their knowledge to change their lives forever,”said Ajit Thakur, executive vice president and business head, SET.

I would love to follow Shah Rukh: Aamir Khan

Bollywood star and filmmaker Aamir Khan was at his humorous best when he came to promote his latest venture, Peepli Live, here on Wednesday evening. Churning out hits one after the other — Lagaan, Taare Zameen Par, Ghajini, 3 Idiots — both as an actor and director/producer, Aamirlooked youthful, relaxed and confident in a pin-striped shirt and blue denims at the full-house press conference.

Known for that slight arrogance, especially for skipping desi award functions, the star laughed at himself, cracked jokes with the media and made light of the comment that he was not following Shah Rukh Khan on Twitter. On why he was not following SRK’s tweets but was keeping track of Salman Khan, Aamir quipped, “I have many friends, but I don’t follow everyone on Twitter.”

When pressed further, he said, “There’s no issue. Of course, I would love to follow Shah Rukh.”

On Big B’s quiz show on television, Kaun Banegi Crorepati, Aamir said four generations in his family used to watch the programme together, and that he would love to see ‘Amitji’ in it.

After an hour-long question-and-answer session, when a reporter asked Aamir to comment on Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s recent wedding, the actor laughed and said, “That means the last question has come.” Anyway, he praised Dhoni and wished him a happy married life. But that was not the last question as it was Dhoni’s birthday too. So, Aamir even sang ‘Happy birthday’ for the Indian skipper.

Eager to get more bytes from Aamir, when a reporter walked a few steps before asking her question, the actor said, “At the rate at which you are walking, you will soon reach my lap…” Aamir had everyone in splits.

In a promo for Peepli Live, a character in the film takes a dig at Aamir, saying, “Roz roz Lagaan nahi banta (You can’t make a film like Lagaan everyday).”On the strategy behind that promo, he said, “It’s better to poke fun at yourself before others can do it to you.” The film is a satirical presentation on how the media functions.

It was claimed that Peepli Live was a film about farmers’ suicides, but Aamir denied that. The central theme is around the character Natha, who decides to commit suicide, and Natha happens to be a farmer. But, according to Aamir and writer-director Anusha Rizvi (a former journalist), Natha could be anyone.

Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz breezed through Rio de Janeiro to promote their latest film, "Knight and Day."

Staying for less than 24 hours, the pair wowed star-struck Brazilian fans and journalists alike during the film's premiere Tuesday in the South American nation.

Cruise posed for numerous photos with fans — and even bounced a football off his head at the behest of the host of a local comedy show.

Cruise told reporters that his daughter, Suri, who came with him and wife Katie Holmes last year while promoting his movie "Valkyrie," adored Brazil but could not make this trip.

Diaz squeezed in a helicopter tour of Rio and declared the city "stunning."

The pair was scheduled to leave for Mexico after the premiere.

Bipasha active on Twitter

Bipasha Basu
Bipasha Basu is the latest Bollywood entrant on Twitter, after Aamir Khan.
Bollywood hot and happening actress Bipasha Basu is not one to sit silently in the back bench. Sensing that her counterparts in Bollywood are having gala time on Twitter, she too joined it yesterday morning. And as expected, her followers have crossed 27,000 in a day's time.

“Hello guys! late entry in twitterverse but nevertheless am here now. A big thank you to all my fans for helping me become who I am 2day,” reads her first tweet. Maryada Ramanna audio released

The audio of SS Rajamouli-directed film Maryada Ramanna, starring Sunil and Saloni, in the lead roles, was released on a specially erected set at Shilpa Kala Vedika, Hyderabad.

Made on Arka Media Works banner, the film is produced by Prasad Devineni and Sobhu Yarlagadda, while MM Keeravani scored music.

Ace director Dasari Narayana Rao unveiled the audio CD and presented the first number to K. Raghavendra Rao. NTR, Prabhas and Ravi Teja remained a special attraction to the event. Interestingly, the function coincided with the birthday celebration of Keeravani.

Speaking on this occasion, Dasari Narayana Rao said: “The real director is the one for whom all the stars should wait to get any opportunity. Rajamouli is one such director. He directed a number of blockbusters. What business does he have with actor Sunil? But, I appreciate it. A director should also work with small artistes, comedians and others and then only the real worth would come out of him. I wish that this film Maryada Ramanna should remain the best in the career of Rajamouli.”

SP Balasubramanyam said: “As a playback singer my debut movie was Maryada Ramanna (yesteryears). Now, I am happy to sing songs for a film with the same title. Keeravani is the most favourite music director of mine. He is a mine of pristine beauty in unfolding the grace of Telugu in lyrics and music.”

Kareena launches own website

When Bollywood stars are busy tweeting, actress Kareena Kapoor has launched her official website and promises to update her fans regularly.

"This is my own site, my own space. I like the idea of leaving Post-it notes for my fans. I have created a special fan book where fans can write to me directly," Kareena, 29, said in a statement.

One of the notes on her website www.kareenakapoor.me said: "Club Kareena is my official fan club. Check out Club Kareena on Facebook and Twitter."

Another recent development in Kareena's professional life has been her association with FIFA 1 GOAL, an International campaign on Education for all. She has become the first Indian actress to be associated with FIFA 1 GOAL.

She has joined the likes of Matt Damon, Jessica Alba, Kevin Spacey, and Hillary Clinton and believes her website would help the campaign to reach people, who don't know much about Indian cinema.

"1 GOAL campaign will reach a number of people who are not familiar with Indian cinema. This site will be a window to India and Indian cinema," she said.
